Jayachandra Rayadurgam

Jayachandra (or “JC”) was born and grew up in India. He worked as Research Scientist in Alder Research Chemicals Private Limited, CSIR-IICT, India. Prior to this position, he worked as Research Associate from November, 2019 to December, 2020 at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China. He also worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guangdong University of Technology, China between February, 2017 to May, 2019. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2016 under the supervision of Dr. S. Rajasekhara Reddy in the Department of Chemistry, VIT-Vellore, India. Before to embarking on a doctoral degree in organic chemistry, he had started his career as a research chemist at Sai Lifesciences Ltd, Hyderabad, India for three years. Later, worked as a Research Executive at Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, Chennai, India for two years. His current projects in the Frankowski Lab involve synthesis of new analogue molecules for evaluation as anti-viral drugs and dopamine modulators.
